2010 5k is almost here!!!

We are ready for the 2010 5k!!!! Online registration has been going well and the sponsors are extremely generous as they have been every year. It should be a great event and we hope to have over 300 runners again. See you on the 25th!!

Saturday's Weather

The weather prediction for Saturday is 60 degrees and sunny. Could we ask for any more.

One Weeks Until the 5K

We are one week away from the 5k. The plans are all coming together for a great day. The sponsors have been fabulous. We were concerned that the slow economy would hurt the sponsorship but no sign of a bad economy for this event. Check out the new link on the web site to see who all of the generous people and companies are.

Registrations are pouring in so we will have a great crowd.

5K Sponsorship

The race sponsorship is really coming together. We are amazed each day of the generous contributions that are coming in to support this event. We could not pull this off without their support. It is no secret that this is a very difficult economy yet so many great organizations and individuals are steping up to the plate to help. I am hoping to start listing the donors in the next few days so you can see who is making this event a reality.

Race Planning

We are looking forward to a great day for the Alison Murphy 5k on September 26, 2009. The plans are moving along very well. Letters have gone out to potential sponsors and we plan to mail race forms to runners from last year who provided a legible e-mail address. Sponsorship is already rolling in and we hope to keep it coming. The race committee will be meeting this week to select t-shirt color, select prizes for winners and to review all of the final plans. We will also be going over the plans for volunteers.

This is a very exciting event for a great cause and we hope to have a great crowd.
